I am a diocesan seminarian who is three years away from ordination. I entered seminary in high school. I grew up in a suburban parish about a mile from the church. My understanding of the liturgy comes from my personal experience and understanding informed by the legislation of the Church. I am slightly interested in the history of the liturgy but primarily concern myself with the correct celebration of the current missal. I am firmly convinced of the tremendous effect the celebration of the Sacraments has on the faith and life of the people of God, not only in their efficacy but also in the impact of the details of the rite itself.
